Name:   Deep Creek / Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Description:  Deep Creek is an access area to the National Park.  There are three nice waterfalls and some fantastic mountain streams.  There are several trails that will take you to the waterfalls.  If you go to the right at the trail head sign you will see the two best waterfalls first without a steep climb up the mountain.  Open April to October.

 

GPS Address:  1820 E Deep Creek Rd, Bryson City, NC 28713.  // To get to Deep Creek, head to Bryson City, NC and follow the signs three miles to Deep Creek.  13 miles from Cherokee.

 

Parking:  There is a large parking lot at the trail head, but it was almost full in October.  In the summer it may be full.  Great Smoky is the most visited National Park in the nation.

 

Cost:  Free

 

Difficulty:  Strenuous on some trails others are almost flat and no problem.  Trails are extremely well maintained and marked well in most places.
